PräMo
Project description:
Chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiometabolic, malignant, and inflammatory disorders, represent a major medical and economic burden. Early detection remains challenging because the underlying molecular processes are highly complex and may remain clinically silent for many years. In addition, reliable biomarkers for monitoring disease onset and progression are still lacking.
The Platform for Precision Medicine & Molecular Prevention (PräMo) is establishing an innovative research infrastructure to address these challenges. The Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden contributes exceptional expertise in immunology, systems medicine, and multi-omics technologies. The interdisciplinary collaboration of the seven applicants, together with internationally leading scientists in inflammation research, immunometabolism, lipidomics, and cellular metabolism, provides a strong foundation for the development of pioneering diagnostic tools and personalized prevention strategies.
